Dynamic Optimal Power Flow (DOPF)According to the progress of deregulation in power industry, further economical efficiency and security of power systems are required for social activities. These two issues are in trade-off relationship and Optimal Power Flow (OPF) has been studied so far to strike a balance between them. The OPF has been developed to optimize the power system operation at a single time point, and it cannot be done at multiple time points without a particular technique. Dynamic OPF (DOPF) has been proposed and studied to overcome the above problem, which can deal with multiple time points. In this study, as an application of the DOPF, a new method is proposed to achieve an effective control of phase angle between buses when switching the power system networks. There are some cases that phase angle control cannot be done between certain buses due to some constraints. Load exchanging is also considered as effective measures to address these cases. Shifting loads at certain buses to other load buses makes it possible to control the phase angles between them that cannot connect to or disconnect from the power system. In addition, a new solution method is proposed for the combinatorial problem by using Tabu Search.
